A new 3000 sqm learning and leisure hub, made possible by a £13.5m investment from Towns Funding, has replaced the previous Station Sports Centre.

The new facilities include:

• 4 lane 25m swimming pool
• Changing village
• Gym & fitness studio
• TAG Active indoor adventure play area
• Outdoor play facilities

In addition, there is a digital inclusion learning centre to enable people of all ages to access information and distance learning courses.

These are supported by dedicated meeting rooms and a large café area to encourage social interactions.

A 80kW solar PV array has been installed on the roof with a view to allowing the centre to feed excess electricity back into the grid.
