We’re delighted to announce that the Bollo Lane development in West London has successfully secured Gateway 2 approval for both its purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) and residential blocks, marking a significant milestone for the project.
The two successful approvals represent an important achievement for the wider project team, allowing construction works to commence on this major mixed-use development.
The scheme will deliver 429 student bedrooms, approximately 36,000 sq ft of commercial space and 95 social rented homes, providing a combination of student accommodation, affordable housing and commercial facilities.
Gateway 2 is a key stage of the Building Safety Regulator’s approval process for higher-risk buildings, requiring detailed evidence that the proposed design complies with applicable building regulations before construction can begin.
Securing approval involves extensive technical coordination and collaboration across multiple disciplines, making the successful outcome a significant achievement for everyone involved.
CGP|MEP is pleased to be part of the design team, contributing our building services engineering expertise to support the development through this important regulatory milestone.
The successful approvals further demonstrate our growing experience of working on higher-risk buildings and supporting project teams through the Gateway 2 process, alongside our recent success at Kings Place Student Accommodation.
We’re delighted to be working alongside Hurlington, HG Construction, DMWR Architects, KS4, Form Engineers, 74, Orion Fire Engineering and QDL Landscape Architects on the development.
With construction now underway, we look forward to seeing Bollo Lane progress towards its anticipated completion in 2028.
