Tring

The project consists of remodelling of existing rooms within existing school building to facilitate partial demolition, the provision of temporary classroom facilities on site and the construction of a new secondary school located in Tring, Hertfordshire.

The new building supports a class entry of 8FE and encompasses approximately 9000m2 of new teaching space.

The new school encompasses the following teaching spaces;

• General Teaching Classrooms
• Science Laboratories
• Activities Studio
• Design and Technology Rooms
• Drama Studio
• IT Suite
• Learning Resource Centre
• Sports Hall

CGP MEP provided the detailed design of the mechanical and electrical services for the design and build contractor and completed using Revit MEP to BIM Level 2.

The scheme was designed to achieve a BREEAM Very Good rating, so CGP MEP also provided energy advise and modelling for the detailed design stage to ensure compliance with the regulations including Part L2a and TM52 and completed the SBEM and EPC assessments.
