This project was for the construction of a new swimming and fitness centre in Shropshire.

The new centre briefly comprises of the following areas:

• 25m 6 lane pool with moveable floor
• 41 station fitness suite
• Multi purpose rooms
• Accessible changing rooms
• Café

The building incorporates a wide array of sustainability measures aimed at minimising environmental impact and has been designed to achieve BREEAM Excellent standards.

Adopting a ‘fabric first’ approach, the design prioritises energy efficiency through the use of thermally efficient cladding, roof structures, and glazing to reduce heat loss. Additionally, rooftop solar panels contribute to the building’s electricity supply, while highly efficient air source heat pumps provide both heating and cooling.
