White Oaks Leisure Centre

The project is for the construction of a new multi-use leisure facility in Swanley, Kent.

The scheme will see the eventual demolition of the existing leisure centre, from the same site.

The new leisure centre briefly comprises of the following areas:

  • Pool Hall (main pool and learner pool)
  • Multi use
  • Tag active
  • Fitness Suites / Studios
  • Changing Facilities
  • Kitchen
  • Café
  • Offices
  • Toilet Facilities

The MEP strategy was heavily driven by the council to be a low energy solution, the innovative solutions for the building included, Air Source Heat Pumps providing preheat to the hot water system, LED lighting, Low SFP Heat Recovery Units with high heat recovery, VRF and Intelligent Controls.

The scheme has to achieve a BREEAM Very Good rating on completion

CGP MEP undertook the Stage 2 and 3 design for ISG to ensure the Clients aspirations were achieved whilst working with the MEP Contractor to ensure project costs were aligned to the ISG Contractor Proposals. CGP MEP were novated to the MEP Contractor to complete the Stage 4 design.

The design was completed using Revit MEP and CGP MEP also provided energy advise throughout the stages and completed the SBEM and EPC assessments.
