Clay Cross Active
Clay Cross Active is a £29m new build leisure centre to replace the original Sharley Park Leisure Centre and interconnected to the retained sports hall.
The new centre comprises of:
- 6 lane 25m main pool, learner pool with spectator seating
- 100 station fitness suite
- Spin studio
- 4 court sports hall
- Changing places facilities
- Treatment rooms / clinic rooms
- Inerva wellness suite
- Soft play and interactive play area for young children
- TAG Active
- Community café
The design adopted a “fabric first” approach to maximise energy efficiency with air source heat pump technology utilised as the primary heat source.
