Clay Cross Active

Clay Cross Active is a £26.3m new build leisure centre built to replace the original Sharley Park Leisure Centre.

The new centre remains interconnected to the retained sports hall and comprises of:

  • 25m, 6 lane main pool, learner pool with spectator seating
  • 100 station fitness suite
  • Spin studio
  • 4 court sports hall
  • Changing places facilities
  • Treatment rooms / clinic rooms
  • Inerva wellness suite
  • Soft play and interactive play area for young children
  • TAG Active
  • Community Cafe

The MEP design followed the decarbonisation model of a fully electric heating and hot water solution, this along with the VRF systems, intelligent controls and roof mounted PV achieved an impressive EPC A rating with a score of 20.
